What is TBC?
Thank you for your interest in Teen Bible Challenge. We are an organization that focuses on assisting pre-teens and young adults to memorize Scripture. Teen Bible Challenge (TBC) is a Bible Quiz Program that organizes students, grades 6-12 (TBC) and grades 3-5 (Kid’s Bible Challenge-KBC), into small groups in order to help them memorize Scripture according to their learning styles. This is done in creative and fun ways that make it fun and memorable. Churches, schools, families, and organizations form teams and compete with other teams around West Michigan once a month in a competition format. Please click here for a more detailed description. We would love to have you become a part of Teen Bible Challenge.

Making Memorizing Scripture Fun and Easy
Here at TBC we believe in making learning and memorizing both fun and simple. We understand that everyone has their own learning styles and ways that make memorizing easiest for them. Because of that, we have developed several methods of memorization that match up with different learning styles, in order to help each individual succeed in our program. Here are some examples…

Songs: Common tunes with the original words replaced by words from verses

Games
Linguistic Learners- Sparkle- go around in a circle and say the verse one word at a time until the verse is perfect several times in a row- if someone gets a word wrong they sit down. Click here for example.
Visual Learners- Eraser- write the verse on board and erase words and phrases, a little at a time, until the verse is gone but can still be said. Click here for example.
Kinesthetic Learners- Quote & Shoot- Bounce basketball while saying verse in rhythm with the bounce and then shoot the ball when verse is said correctly.

 Schedules/Time Commitment
Our regular season goes from about September-March. There are usually 2 one and a half hour practices a week with quizzer’s team. There are 4 hour competitions once a month for TBC and once every 6 weeks for KBC. Click here for this year’s TBC schedule and here for this year’s KBC schedule. We are studying the book of John.
